Jeff Clark's Biography
Jeff Clark was born in Denver, CO, and learned to play tennis through the Denver Parks and Recreation summer lessons program. He saw success at the high school level by qualifying for The Colorado State Tournament a school record 3 consecutive years, and earned a tennis scholarship to Bethel College in North Newton, KS. Jeff was selected to the first team All-Conference both years he played for the Threshers. Since college, he has continued to play in USTA League Tennis and has captained two teams qualifying for nationals and six more winning district titles, earning berths to sectional tournaments. Jeff is a USPTA Certified instructor that has been teaching in private clubs since 2000. He participated in USTA's national Competition Training Center Coaches Conventions in 2002 and 2006 while heading a junior tennis academy in Wichita, KS. He spent 2007 running adult programs in Kansas City, KS. Jeff has privately coached many students into college scholarship opportunities at Universities such as Wichita State, Fort Hays State, Bethel College and more. He was also personal coach to World #3, Nick Taylor during his run to a Paralympic Gold medal in Athens in 2004 and hat-trick at the U.S. Open winning singles, doubles, and mixed-doubles titles. Jeff has also had success coaching USTA League teams, with most achieving district titles, including a 2005 team that advanced to the USTA League team National tournament. Jeff currently coaches at Riverside Tennis Center in Wichita, KS.
